Welcome to the PRF Home Page! (as of 1-20-08 we
have disbanded)
We wish to tell you about the fellowship and make our Reformed Christian literature and tapes (audio and video) available.
The PRF is a group of families and individuals drawn together by God around the truths of the Reformed faith. We follow the "Three Forms of Unity" (Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dordt) as our creeds. Our goal is to establish a formal relationship with the Protestant Reformed Churches in America, and ultimately to form a Protestant Reformed Church in our community. We are now under the guidance of a subcommittee of the Domestic Mission Committee dealing with Fayetteville, NC.This committee will make arrangements for us to have scheduled pastoral visits for further development. Many of the sermons preached during these visits are online. The Lord willing this will make possible the calling of a missionary to help establish a Protestant Reformed church in our area, which is our long term goal.
History of the PRF to date:
We began meeting together on March 29, 1998 with Prayer, singing of the Psalms, collection of an offering and reading of a previously preached PRC sermon. Our order of worship (see Bulletin) is that of the Protestant Reformed Churches in America. Later we began to use only videotaped sermons as the preached Word of God. We have sponsored two Public Lectures and have had lively preaching of sermons from visiting PRC pastors and the home missionary. When we do not have lively preaching, we use a video sermon from Grace PRC, under Rev. Mitchell Dick. Grace PRC has formed a committee to assist us and offer spiritual guidance. We also receive DVD's from Hudsonville PRC and Trinity PRC. The PRC has a new Home Missionary, Rev. Bruinsma, stationed in Pittsburgh, PA and we anticipate regular visits from him in the future.
We hold two worship services on the Lord's Day, 10:00 AM
and 5:00 PM. If you are interested in attending our worship services, please contact us.
We now have Video Sermons on the Time Warner Community Channel, Monday evenings at 5:30
PM.
Our children receive catechism instruction by the parents in the
home with weekly review. The article "Catechism
Instruction" is available. Catechism classes and Adult Bible Studies are held on
Wednesday evening at 6:00 PMff. Currently the adults are studying the Heidelberg
Catechism. Catechism and Bible Study materials are provided by the Fellowship.
